Suddenly, my memory lanes started flooding with the thoughts of, how my mom used to scold me if I did not pay attention to the staining. Sooner, I started getting nervous whenever I felt that I had not changed the sanitary pad.

I hated fridays. Reason no. 1– Four lecture periods for Mathematics , Reason no. 2- No games period as the maths lecturer was the class teacher and used to organise test in games period and ultimately Reason no. 3 – On Friday, the dress code used to be white…

Now that I am grown up in a society where staining your dress or skirts determine how your upbringings are… what more can u expect me to say? In a society like this, your aunt will probably give your mother, a long lecture about how, your mother is not a responsible mother and that she did not teach her daughter that staining a skirt is a big crime…

If your skirt is stained, will you be accepted by your relatives or cousins?? Probably NO!!! May be they will tease you and scold you as well…

Why should you apologise for something that cannot be controlled?

Just being IRONIC, I know where society is leading us.

So, I am not ashamed of something that is completely natural. And I guess, those who think a woman should be sorry if she stains her skirt in public, should rinse their brains…

Green tea is far more different than the regular black tea. They are made from the same plant- Camellia Sinensis, but are processed differently. Black tea is fermented while the green tea is dried and steamed.

Benefits of green tea:-

  • Protects your skin from the pollutants.
  • Treats the puffy eyes and dark circles.
  • It is an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory agent.

Green tea is full of antioxidants that you cannot just ignore its healing effects on your skin. These antioxidants help in reducing the acnes and the inflammatory skin conditions.

Green Tea Toner:-

Brew a cup of green tea. Store upto 3 days in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Use a cotton ball or fingers to apply it on your face in tapping manner. Allow to absorb. Then apply any moisturizer.

Depuffing Undereye Treatment:-

After using your teabag, do you throw them away??? Don’t. Just squeeze the excess tea from the bag and place them under your eyes for atleast 15 minutes.

Anti-aging Face Mask:-

Take 1 teaspoon of Matcha, add 5-7 drops of virgin coconut oil. Then add a teaspoon of honey, few drops of distilled or filtered water. There you go! Apply it to your face.

Green Tea Body Butter:-

Green Tea Body Butter

Take cocoa butter (3/4th cup) and coconut oil (1/4th cup) on a double boiler. Let it melt. Add 2 teaspoon of green tea. Wait for 7-10 minutes. Strain. Set in a freezer to harden. With electric whisk, whip it for 5 minutes. Your body butter is ready.

Green Tea Body Scrub:-

Take 1 tablespoon of green tea & 1 tablespoon of matcha powder. Add it to 1 and half cup of sea salt. Add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or sweet almond oil in it. Add 2-3 drops of lime essential oil. It can also be used as foot scrub.

Green Tea Lip Balm:-

Green Tea Lip Balm

On a double boiler, add 4 tablespoon coconut oil in a container. Add a teabag into it, remove it after 10 minute. Then add 3 tablespoon beeswax pellets, add 2 tablespoon Shea butter. Let it melt. Slowly pour it in clean containers. You have your own amazing lip balm now.

Food recipe from scratch…

And the other day, I found only a can of milk and a pack of fruit juice in my refrigerator… Nothing more… In midst of lockdown, I could not go to buy the groceries that day…

I looked around to find the onions lying in the basket… And, YES!!! There it was… The bulb of my ideas started lighting up…

Here’s the recipe…


  • 2 Cups of Leftover Rice
  • 1 Medium Sized Onion
  • 2 tbsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to Taste


  1. In a pan, on medium flame, heat 3-4 tablespoon of oil.
  2. Add 2 tablespoon of mustard seeds.
  3. When it starts splattering, add one teaspoon of turmeric powder ( For that tinge of yellow colour).
  4. Add the diced onion.
  5. Saute the onion till it turns golden brown.
  6. Add the leftover rice and mix.
  7. Add a pinch of salt ( According to the taste)


This is a lifesaver recipe…
